What is SettleCon™?
SettleCon™ is a conference about discussing ideas for and how to build a political system for reason, individualism, and capitalism.
SettleCon™ will take place on a cruise ship and use existing infrastructure. This allows us to reduce risk to a minimum, and to have a pleasant experience. The conference is meant to appeal to those who think man should live by reason. To achieve such a goal, new ideas are required, and such ideas is what the conference is about.
Through history, a proven solution to suboptimal homeland political systems has been to start colonies. This happened in the bronze age, in Ancient Greece, with Rome (about -200 to 300), in Venice (about 300 to 1300), and more recently with England where they started the most successful colonies ever, the colonies (1607 to 1776) that became the wonderful USA. The same can be done today, a few people can experiment with new ideas, and find innovative solutions.
Within some years the goal is to generate ideas on how we can establish a new society, and to build a political system designed for the protection of individual rights. While the political systems today work pretty well, there is still room for improvement. Small experiments on land and on sea might be a way to test new ideas. Over time, we can build systems to solve one problem after the other, until we have a system that solves so many problems that it becomes a preferred solution.

Over time, the goal is to have professional speakers, including Objectivist philosophers, police, military, legal scholars, historians and other rational experts in politics. Engineers, architects and shipbuilders are also expected to attend in later conferences.
Connections, ideas, and infrastructure can be built over time, and the goal is to establish a system somewhere on earth that is very beneficial to human life.
