             Early settler

A settler is a person who moves with a group to live in a new country or area.

SoReason is arranging a program to get 2000 people to sign up as early settlers. There will be multiple stages to the program, and all the way it is voluntary on both the side of SoReason and each individual who decides to join the program.

Early settlers will have the opportunity to get cheap land through labour or payment. As new people come in, the value of the land will increase. They are rewarded for the risk they are taking. Early settlers are also rewarded if they help bring more people in, as this will increase the value of their land.

Benefits
- Gain land for a low price (in some cases almost free)
- Be part of an amazing adventure
- Be part of a new society
- Be part of a builder society, where values are the center of focus
- Become a more courageous person
- Build your self-esteem
- Strengthen your independence
- Be part of a society that respects individual rights
- Gain the freedom to build the values you want with your life!

- The land is not developed, so there will be much enjoyable work for those who love work:
        - Electricity system have to be built
        - Water system have to be built
        - Sewage have to be built
        - Housing have to be built

Risks
The rewards are not without risks. While SoReason will work hard to minimize the risks, the project still has risks. Here are some of those risks:
- When can we acquire territory? In 2023? 2025? 2027? Even later?
- How can we achieve agreeable terms?
- How can we provide high-quality security? (We're making good progress here)
- How and when will we be attacked? (We have good progress on solutions here)
- When we're attacked, how can we minimize damage to residents? (We have good progress on solutions here)
- What conflicts will occur between residents? (We have good progress on solutions here)
- How can we assure that we get mostly good people into the project, and minimize the damage from bad people?  (We have good progress on solutions here)
- How can we assure continued immigration?  (We have good progress on solutions here)
- Will the early settlers have the understanding needed to build the early infrastructure?  (We have good progress on solutions here)

There are literally thousands of considerations to take into account. SoReason is doing much of this work, so that you can participate with minimal risk. But you should know up-front that the project is not free of risk. It's a project for those who are willing to take some risk, and are confident that working with SoReason is a good option.

If you are a billionaire in the USA, the risks do not make sense to you. You could have a lot to lose, and very little to gain in terms of freedom and financial upside.
But if you're a young person with minimal assets in a country that does not do a good job at protect your rights, then you have a lot to gain, and little to lose. To the latter person, SoReason can be a very attractive option.

The progress forward
There's a substantial amount of work that is required to organize this project, so it does take time.
The path is expected to take the following direction:
- 2000 potential early settlers sign up to the Early Settlers Program. We aim for so many sign-ups because we expect many of these people to pull out once the transportation is available. If only 10% of those who signed up actually follows through, that's more than enough for success. There is a selection process, so oversubscription should not be a problem.
- Those who sign up will go through a process of verification, background check, and skill check, including English skills. This is to ensure that we optimize the chance of success for the program.
- Early Settlers also have to sign a contract. The contract will state that they agree among other things not to commit crimes and initiate force against others, and that the police has the right to arrest anyone who commits crimes.
- Some of the Early Settlers will then be informed that they have been selected for the first batch.
- SoReason will organize transportation and security from a hub city. What country and city is selected as hub depends on the location of those who signed up to the Early Settler Program.
- On an arranged day and time at a specified address, people can then enter the transportation vessel.
- The Early Settlers will then be transported to the geographical area where settlement can begin.
- The Early Settlers will on day one start the construction of necessary housing and community facilities. It will take some time until there's enough housing to provide a separate home for each of the Early Settlers. For the first few nights they will be sleeping in tents. Only basic housing can be expected in the early days, and more modern living standard will take time to develop, as the settlement grows.
- SoReason is responsible for arranging food and water initially. This responsibility will gradually be transferred over to Early Settlers who are skilled at operating convenience stores and other businesses.
- Gradually more and more responsibility will be transferred to the Early Settlers, and Settlers will be free to set up businesses as they like, trade, build values, etc.
- SoReason will maintain the responsibility for security and the construction of the government and related institutions. This work is highly reliant on philosophy, a subject many people do not know how to validate. This is what SoReason specialize in, and we know how to protect individual rights by building an awesome government.
- Almost immediately after batch one is done, the next batch will be coming. A constant flow of immigrants is desired to build a new society. If you're happy with how things are going, this is the time to contact your family and best friends. (Please do not contact the boy who bullied you at school, he's not welcome. We try to keep this a place where good people thrive, and we keep the bullies and bad guys out.)
